1. Student achievement is the basis for the decision of the team.
2.The young students developmentally are more receptive to learning in the morning hours
3. Young students are tired by the end of the day as observed by parents, teachers and staff.
4. Start earlier and release earlier.
5. Number of drivers and routes requires 45 minutes between school end times
6. Extracurricular activities cannot be sustained with the current start/end times
7. Transportation time off, sick day impacted by current schedule as well as availability of certified CDL drivers.
8. At least a 6. 5 hour minimum school day recommended for Title 1, ELL schedule
9. Allows for additional late bus at the elementary schools for after school activities/tutoring
