On behalf of the Wildcat staff, I welcome you to the 2019-2020 school year! We are excited to see everyone return for the first day of school on August 6, 2019 at 8:00A.M. As part of our district strategic plan, we look forward to creating a rewarding partnership with you to ensure the success of students at every level to achieve their personal greatness. We will be hosting our Back to School Night and Meet the Teacher Night on the same evening - August 5, 2019 from 3:30P.M to 5:30P.M. At this event I will introduce the year, our staff, and then you will be able to visit your student’s classroom. Class list will be posted that evening on the cafeteria windows. We hope to see you there!
As a preview, one of our foci will be Culture & Pride with the motto #WeAreWildcats. As a reminder, Wednesday will be our early release day and on those days we will be showing our Wildcat Wednesday Pride by wearing school pride with Maroon and White. As a district team we have adopted Capturing Kids’ Hearts which will focus on creating a positive school culture from grades preK-12. In addition, we will be introducing our new C.A.T.S. Pride tickets that will capture positive Character, Attitude, Teamwork, and Scholarship within our school community.
A little about me, I was born and raised in California spending most of my childhood in the beach town of Ventura. I earned my Bachelors in Music Education from UCLA (University of California Los Angeles), teaching credential from CSULB (California State University Long Beach), Masters in Organizational Leadership from GCU (Grand Canyon University), and currently finishing my Doctorate in Organizational Leadership also from GCU. When not at West Sedona, I enjoy crafting, reading books, and traveling. I reside in West Sedona with my husband Richard where we enjoy the outdoors and all the beauty that Sedona has to offer. You may see us riding the switchbacks of Oak Creek on our Harley!
