Greetings, West Sedona!!!
As a born-and-raised Arizonan, I am happily returning to my birth state with the honor of being the principal of West Sedona Elementary! My name is Alisa Stieg. Let me tell you a little more about myself…
I am a graduate of Northern Arizona University and The University of Oklahoma, and I have been an educator since 1988. I have taught every grade Pre-K through 6th grade. I have been an administrator since 2013, caring for students, families, and staff. It has been my privilege to work in multiple districts in the states of Arizona and Oklahoma, serving diverse populations and working to improve student outcomes through a whole-child focus.
I am certified in early childhood education, elementary education, and as a principal in grades K-8. My first experience as an administrator was as a middle school principal, grades 6-8. The majority of my experience has been serving in schools PK-6, but I am currently serving at an early childhood center, focusing on foundational skills that will allow students to flourish as their journey in school continues. I am also certified in classroom mindfulness through Mindful Schools and the Heartmath Institute as a Building Personal Resilience Coach. I am working on my second Master’s Degree as a Kern Family Foundation Fellowship recipient through the University of Birmingham in the UK in the Character Education program through the School of Social Justice.
My heart is serving students, their families, staff, and the community; when we all work together, our partnership allows students to achieve the desires of the hearts of their future selves. I am a big believer in helping students acquire a growth mindset, understanding the effort they expend will help them achieve their goals, including those they’ve not yet established. For the young minds of West Sedona, the sky’s the limit! I hope you will partner with me to make this a reality.
I am the mother of three beautiful children and three fur-babies and can’t wait to return to Arizona, particularly Sedona, where I spent every summer of my childhood on family vacations. To be in such a place of beauty is truly a gift I am so grateful to embrace. Thank you for the opportunity to serve your community! Como nacida y criada arizonense, estoy feliz de regresar a mi estado natal con el honor de ser la directora de la escuela primaria West Sedona. Mi nombre es Alisa Stieg. Déjeme contarle un poco más sobre mí...
Me gradué de la Universidad del Norte de Arizona y de la Universidad de Oklahoma, y he sido educadora desde 1988. He enseñado en todos los grados, desde preescolar hasta 6to grado. He sido administradora desde el 2013, atendiendo a estudiantes, familias y personal. Ha sido un privilegio para mí trabajar en múltiples distritos en los estados de Arizona y Oklahoma, sirviendo a poblaciones diversas y trabajando para mejorar los resultados de los estudiantes a través de un enfoque integral en el niño.
Estoy certificada en educación infantil, educación primaria y como directora de Pre K a 8vo grado. Mi primera experiencia como administradora fue como directora de una escuela secundaria, grados 6-8. La mayor parte de mi experiencia ha sido en escuelas PK-6, pero actualmente trabajo en un centro de primera infancia, enfocándome en habilidades fundamentales queue permitirán a los estudiantes prosperar a medida que continúa su viaje en la escuela. También estoy certificada en atención plena en el aula a través de Mindful Schools y el Instituto Heartmath como Coach de Desarrollo de Resiliencia Personal. Estoy trabajando en mi segunda maestría como becaria de Kern Family Foundation Fellowship a través de la Universidad de Birmingham en el Reino Unido en el programa de Educación del Carácter a través de la Escuela de Justicia Social.
Mi corazón está sirviendo a los estudiantes, sus familias, el personal y la comunidad; cuando todos trabajamos juntos, nuestra asociación permite a los estudiantes alcanzar los deseos del corazón de su futuro. Creo firmemente en ayudar a los estudiantes a adquirir una mentalidad de crecimiento; comprender que el esfuerzo que realizan les ayudará a alcanzar sus objetivos, incluidos aquellos que aún no han establecido. Para las mentes jóvenes de West Sedona, ¡el cielo es el límite! Espero que se asocien conmigo para hacer esto una realidad.
Soy madre de tres hermosos hijos y tres bebés peludos y no veo la hora de regresar a Arizona, particularmente a Sedona, donde pasé todos los veranos de mi infancia en vacaciones familiares. Estar en un lugar tan hermoso es verdaderamente un regalo que estoy muy agradecida de powder aceptar. ¡Gracias por la oportunidad de servir a su comunidad!
